The Cottage Rest Home
is a family run home established in 1971 and is ideally situated
in the heart of Monkseaton Village. We provide 24 hr
Residential care for the Elderly. The Cottage is easily
accessible by bus from Newcastle, Morpeth and surrounding
districts, and is situated only 300 metres from the Tyneside
Metro System which connects to rail and bus services up and down
the country. There are ample car-parking facilities for visitors.
The Cottage itself is a 15th Century building with much character. The purchase of the adjacent house (Monkseaton House) built in 1805 has greatly improved accommodation.
Our Philosophy is to give our Residents the best quality care within an domestic environment, also taking care of their physical, mental and spiritual needs, whilst giving them their rights to privacy, dignity, and as far as possible, their independence.
